The adult children drift through life with the certainty that they will one day be wealthy heirs. But certainties vanish abruptly when their father suffers a mental breakdown and the family must recognize how hard he worked to maintain a glittering façade. With sharp observation and subtle irony, Daniel Goetsch dissects a success story in his new novel Nachlass, behind which loss, ruin, and a family secret lurk. Nachlass appears in September 2026 at Geparden Verlag. Reading as part of the book premiere with author Daniel Goetsch and musician Marcel Vaid.
