A fascist school class rebels against the system-critical teacher, and as disciplinary punishment, the class and teacher are immediately sent to a field camp. There they are prepared for war, and in the course of this, a student dies. What happened, and who is responsible? A cold-blooded murderer? The silent teacher? The fascist system? With "Youth Without God", we want to open a discussion about where moral cowardice ends and civil courage begins. In a time when conviction is often demanded but rarely lived, we thereby set a timely social impulse. Over the last six months, we at the StuThe (Zurich Student Theatre) have restaged and modernized the piece to build a bridge from the fiction of the past to the world we all live in, here and now.
